THE ROLE: HEAD OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (BASED IN PORTUGAL)

01. About the role:

As Head of Business Development at VX Comunicação, you’ll have the opportunity to take the agency into new markets and solidify our presence where we already operate. Always on the lookout for hidden opportunities, closing strategic partnerships, and contributing directly to our growth. If you love a good strategy and enjoy building lasting relationships, this position is for you!

02. What You’ll Do:
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities (and yes, we love those who can find gold where others see dust).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both existing and potential clients – you’ll be the go-to contact everyone loves to call.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure our projects align with client needs and agency goals (translating ideas into results is your thing).
  • Create irresistible value propositions that make clients think, “This is exactly what I need!”.
  • Deliver presentations that not only sell but also captivate and win over potential clients’ hearts.
  • Stay up to date with the latest market trends, providing strategic insights that strengthen our offerings.
  • Track metrics and results to ensure we’re always doing better and better – because success is measurable.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from the first conversation to closing the deal – and, of course, celebrate the wins!
03. Ideal Profile:
  • Experience: At least 3 years in business development, preferably in communications, advertising, or digital marketing – if you know where the good opportunities are, we want you on our team!
  • Business Instincts: You can easily identify and convert new business opportunities and have a proven track record of growing revenue (the kind of person who turns “nothing” into “everything”);
  • Top-tier Communication: You’ve got the gift of gab, can negotiate like no one else, and build relationships that last a lifetime;
  • Results-Driven: You’re focused on KPIs, know how to analyze what works (and what doesn’t), and adapt your strategies as needed;
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: You like to work autonomously and have a proactive approach – if you see a challenge, you don’t shy away from it;
  • In-depth Market Knowledge: You’re in the know about the latest in the communications and marketing industry, and you understand exactly how VX’s solutions can bring value to clients;
  • Passion for Relationships: You love developing strategic partnerships and have a consultative approach that understands client needs;
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English: And even better if you can deliver epic presentations that captivate any audience!
